Payments are taken directly from your salary and paid to Scottish Life. With a Group Stakeholder Pension, Scottish Life invests your money into funds until the day that you start drawing benefits. Their Company Pension Scheme is ran by trustees on your behalf while you have your own individual account within the scheme.
For companies, Scottish Life has Governed Portfolios which allow employees of your company to invest their money on a range of bonds, property and equities while taking into account the risk they are willing to take. They are reviewed regularly by Scottish Life to ensure that they are up to standard. They also offer 11 different Lifestyle Strategies which reduce the risk to your savings the closer you get to withdrawing your retirement benefits.
